IJCAI-01 Workshop on
Washington State Convention & Trade Center, Seattle, WA, USA, August 4, 2001
Call for Papers/Participation |
Resources such as time, money and machines are fundamental features of real-world planning problems. However, conventional AI planning systems are not normally capable of handling these requirements. In recent years, with the ongoing orientation toward real-world applications, many researchers have begun working on techniques for resource handling. In this context, optimization goals other than plan length are also gaining importance.
The workshop is intended to bring together researchers from communities such as AI planning, scheduling, constraint programming and linear programming. The workshop aims to promote communication between researchers and seeks to highlight new and interesting ideas for planning with resources. Workshop topics will include:
In addition to paper presentations, there will be invited talks and panel discussions addressing the following topics:
Attendance will be limited to 40 participants. Participants will be selected based on refereed submissions. If you wish to attend but are not submitting a paper, please send a one-page statement of interest by the submission deadline.
Paper submissions should be no longer than six pages. Guidelines for the submission format can be found at http://www.aaai.org/Publications/Author/macros-link.html.
Papers may be submitted by e-mailing a document's URL to the workshop chair. If this is not possible, please contact the workshop chair. Accepted submissions will be distributed and included in the workshop notes.
